PES Professional Organization Involvement

Over the past few months, we have been discussing some of the more unique and specialized testing that PES provides for its customers. This month, we wanted to let you know about our involvement in professional organizations and trade shows, both locally and nationally.

For decades, PES has been actively involved in the Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania area chapter of professional organizations such as ASM International, American Foundry Society (AFS), Society of Carbide Tool Engineers (SCTE), and National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE, now AAMP), and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). Participation in these great organizations has included everything from sustaining memberships, supplying presenters, hosting of organizational meetings, and financial contributions. Our team members have been chapter officers (including Chairmen), judges for competition, sponsors for award winners, and volunteers at numerous chapter-related activities. The local chapters of these organizations are vital to sustaining these industries and keeping up with changing techniques and technologies.

Nationally, we routinely exhibit at TITANIUM USA (International Titanium Association) and RAPID + TCT (Additive Manufacturing). Other conferences where you may have found us include Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST), Offshore Technology Conference, Mine Expo, Forge Fair, and AEROMAT. We have presented - or contributed to - papers at some of the aforementioned events and also at IMAT (International Materials, Applications, and technologies) and ASNT. You can find us at ASTM Committee Meetings, NADCAP Conferences, and America Makes Events (Silver Membership Levels).
