PES is proud to reflect on a year filled with meaningful community involvement and employee‑driven generosity across Western Pennsylvania. From supporting local students to uplifting families and nonprofits, our team continued traditions and built new partnerships that strengthened the communities we serve.
Early in the year, PES sponsored the Norwin High School Baseball Team, helping provide resources for student‑athletes and supporting a program that plays an important role in the local community. Shortly after, our employees participated in the UPMC Children’s Hospital Walk for Children’s for the fourth consecutive year, joining thousands of supporters in an event that raised more than $1.1 million for pediatric patients and their families.
In September, our Community Involvement Committee organized a drive to support Beverly's PGH, a local organization devoted to celebrating kids and families. PES put together nearly 100 treat bags filled with toys, snacks, and traditional party favors to help celebrate birthdays for local children in need. Beverly’s Birthdays believes “in the power of celebration” and that “every child, regardless of personal or financial circumstances, deserves a happy birthday.” We couldn’t agree more.
In October, our Community Involvement Committee hosted the annual Halloween Luncheon and Costume Contest, combining employee celebration with charitable giving. Together, our team donated more than 230 food items, raised $500, and provided a complete meal to support the Westmoreland Food Bank and Living Hope Outreach LLC. As the holidays approached, PES continued its tradition of supporting Toys for Tots, collecting new, unwrapped toys to brighten the season for children across the region.
We closed out the year with our annual Christmas 50/50 drawing and gift basket raffle, with proceeds benefiting Fisher’s Furry Friends of PA. Organized by our Community Involvement Committee, the event underscored our commitment to supporting a wide range of local causes, from families and food banks to animal welfare organizations.
We are grateful for the dedication of our employees and proud of the positive impact these initiatives create in our community. PES looks forward to continuing this work and expanding our outreach in the year ahead.
