Walking with a Purpose

As we move out of August and into September the PES Outreach Committee is embarking on another company organized program, this time in support of one of our team members. Dave R., one of our Customer Service Representatives in the Sales Department, is in final preparation for a journey on the Pennsylvania Laurel Highlands Trail.

The Crucible Hike, put on by the Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania, is a 3-day, 70.5 extreme hike through some of the most scenic parts of the state. The path will take hikers from the Conemaugh Gorge near Johnstown, PA to the Youghiogheny River at Ohiopyle State Park.

The hike serves as a fundraiser to benefit the VLP to continue to help the men and women who have served our country. Each year the organization serves more than 8,400 local veterans through multiple comprehensive programs to assist vets in civilian life.
